The Hideaway is probably one of the only bars in the Inland Empire that has been reviewed in the UK newspaper, The Guardian. In 2000 one of their reporters visited Lake Elsinore for the sky diving, and made the following recommendation:

If you're feeling brave, you could come back to Elsinore for a late-night drink at the Hideway (32392 Mission Trail), a tiny shack of a bar straight out of a "B" movie - a line of Harley-Davidsons outside, huge bearded bikers and bikini-clad pole-dancers inside. With the same laid-back friendliness that permeates the whole of southern California, it manages to be seedy and wholesome, threatening and relaxing, at the same time. Not to be missed.

The food got a nice writeup a couple weeks ago in the Inland Empire Weekly (pdf):

"Four items of note off this menu are the fish and chips, made with large fillets of cod and thick cuts of deep-fried, chip-sliced potatoes; the Pub Club, a massive, grilled multistacker in which corn beef can be substituted if your religion keeps you away from devil pig meat; Irish Nachos, a large portion of potato chips covered in sour cream and chipped corn beef; and Leprechaun Nuts - jalapenos suffed with white cheese, wrapped in corn beef, battered and deep-fried."

Come early for the food (Geno will vouch for the Leprechaun nuts), stay late for the music!

On the afternoon of Saturday, May 13th, BOXKUTTERS will be playing at the Highgrove Day celebration. It's fun for the whole family. (Map and directions)

The Highgrove Community is celebrating the 21^st annual Highgrove Picnic, in conjunction with the Highgrove Volunteer Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast and Riverside County Supervisor Marion Ashley’s Safety Fair. These three events are known as “Highgrove Day” which will be held at the Norton Younglove Community Center & Highgrove Park at 459 Center Street. Highgrove Day is a perfect opportunity for the community to come together for another fun-filled day of activities, good food and entertainment for the entire family.

This Friday at 1 PM, Art Gone Wrong kicks off the St. Patrick's day festivities at Liam's Irish Pub in Colton. BOXKUTTERS go on at 6pm, followed by Celtic rock band The Gobshites and more.

Come early and have a tasty dinner; stay late for the music and fun - Liam's offers 33 beers on tap, including Guiness and Harp, as well as a nice selection of Irish whiskey. Miller girls and Jäger girls will be there to promote non-Irish libations.
